The Premise

FETCH MY BLADE is a journaling roleplaying game (with solo & multiplayer options) where you play as the beloved dog of a retired legendary sword master, tasked with a quest: retrieve your Master’s fabled weapon in time for their final duel.

On your quest, you will uncover and explore your Master’s guarded past-- transforming your character, deepening your relationship with your Master, and ultimately influencing your Master’s fate.

The Fetch Quest

As you journey to retrieve your Master's blade, traverse sites along the way, establishing your life and relationship with your Master.

Obtain your quest objective by overcoming challenges and proving your loyalty.

On your return journey, the presence of this fabled weapon reveals startling secrets, changing the sites you revisit...or perhaps it is you who have changed?

A Game of Reflections

A core theme of Fetch My Blade is the reflective nature of the sites we return to as we grow and learn about ourselves and others.

As you play through the game, approach the same site from a different perspective by flipping the book around and physically progressing back the way you came.

Encounter challenges that prompt you to discover what it means to be True, and what it means to be Truthful.

Kelly M Tran is a TTRPG and videogame author and designer. She loves creating experiences that are personally meaningful for players, as well as finding ways to delight them with small moments.

She hopes that players find both in Fetch My Blade as they explore a world of adventure, discovery, and of course, dogs!

Ethan Yen (he/him)

Ethan Yen is a tabletop game designer and writer publishing under the name, Glyphtide Games. His work has been recognized by the IGDN Indie Groundbreaker Awards and ENNIE Awards.

His games focus on concisely-crafted experiences imbued with narratively resonant mechanisms. When not playing make-believe, Ethan enjoys keeping his ever-anxious dog, Hazel, company.
